Some Mobile Devices expected to launch in 2022

We are a few weeks shy of 2022 and already anticipate the release of new mobile devices. The year 2021 saw the release of the Google Pixel 6 and the Apple iPhone 13. In 2022, there’s already a lot to look forward to, including new budget-friendly phones from Samsung and Apple, which could be released in the year’s first half. The Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor is likely to power a lot of new phones next year; however, because this is Qualcomm’s latest flagship chipset, you can expect it to be found in several high-end phones from companies such as Xiaomi, Samsung, Oppo, Sony, OnePlus, and others.

Below are the mobile phones expected to launch in 2022 and their features

1.    Apple iPhone SE 3:

According to our research, Apple is working on a third-generation iPhone SE. However, it won’t differ significantly from the current model. The new inexpensive smartphone will be called iPhone SE Plus, but it will be the same size as the present iPhone SE.

Compared to the iPhone SE 2 of 2020, the iPhone SE 3 2022 specs are likely to include the same 4.7″ display diagonal but substantially improved processing power and connection choices. The chipset of choice was last rumoured to be the fast 5nm A14 Bionic that Apple uses in the iPhone 12 series, which should prevent the iPhone SE 3 2022 from feeling underpowered.

Other features include:

5G iPhone SE: Since the launch of the iPhone 12, Apple has been heavily promoting 5G, and it would make sense if the firm decided to add 5G capability to the more affordable iPhone SE to make it as future-proof as possible – especially since most people who own an iPhone SE don’t upgrade their phones frequently.

Face recognition identification: According to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman’s Power On newsletter, the next-generation iPhone SE series could also be the first to get Face ID. It’s possible but unlikely because there have been speculations that Apple is working on adding Face ID to all of its products.

2.    Apple’s iPhone 14 Max:

Apple’s iPhone 14 Pro Max is the forthcoming smartphone from Apple that is expected to be unveiled in India on October 31, 2022. The iPhone 14 will most likely have the same flat-edged design as the iPhone 13, with some display and body changes. The iPhone 13 brought a 120Hz ProMotion display to the iPhone Pro variations, and reports claim that all four iPhone 14 models may come with similar display innovations. According to a JP Morgan Chase research presented by Patently Apple, the iPhone 14 will most likely have a titanium alloy chassis. Titanium, which is harder and more scratch-resistant than aluminium, has already debuted on the Apple Watch and could make its way to the iPhone line next year.

Other features include:

Camera: The main camera on the iPhone 14 Pro versions, according to analyst Kuo, could be upgraded to 48 megapixels. A periscope zoom lens and 8K video capture are also reported to be in the works. Apple might enter the league with a quad-camera for the Pro versions and a triple camera for the normal iPhone 14 models.

Processor: Each new iPhone has a faster and more efficient processor. With this in mind, the A16 Bionic chipset is slated to power the iPhone 14. Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company Limited (TSMC) is expected to build this on either 3 or 4nm technology. The chip was initially supposed to be made on a 3nm process, but there’s reason to assume that the plan has changed. TSMC has stated that 3nm processors are in short supply, implying that the iPhone 14 will use a 4nm processor. This would have advantages over the iPhone 13’s 5nm A15 processor.

Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra: Samsung is believed to be planning the introduction of its next flagship smartphone, the Galaxy S22 Ultra, on February 8, 2022. Samsung will not formally introduce the Galaxy S22 Ultra until February 8, according to Ice Universe, and on that same day, other Galaxy S22 series models will be unveiled.

Samsung intends to adopt a different approach to the Galaxy S22 and Galaxy S22 plus models. Instead of the hybrid zoom of the Galaxy S20/S21 era, the Galaxy S22 series smartphones will feature a 10MP telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom.

Processor: The smartphones are expected to come in two different versions. While the Exynos 2200 chipset is expected to be available in select regions, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset will be available in others. According to prior reports, the Galaxy S22 series with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset will be available in most markets.

Display size: The display size and camera specifications of the Samsung Galaxy S22 and Galaxy S22 Plus have been released by Ice Universe. The Galaxy S22 will have a 6.06-inch display, while the Galaxy S22plus will have a 6.55-inch display. This means the smartphones will be smaller than the Galaxy S21 and S21 plus, which have 6.2-inch and 6.7-inch screens, respectively.

OnePlus 10 Pro: This is expected to be released in early 2022, with superb physical specifications and a design that pushes imagination. According to Zouton, the phone will have a 6.7-inch 1,440-pixel AMOLED screen with a 120Hz refresh rate, a 5,000 mAh battery, and 128GB or 256GB of storage.

Processor: OnePlus CEO Pete Lau stated that the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset would power the company’s next-generation flagship series. He claimed that the new chipset would be featured in the company’s next-generation smartphones on his official Weibo profile. He didn’t specify the OnePlus 10 and 10 Pro, but they are the likely names for the company’s upcoming phones. The Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 CPU will also be used by OPPO, OnePlus’ sibling company, in the forthcoming Oppo Find X4. Meanwhile, the Xiaomi 12 series, Motorola Edge X30, and Realme GT 2 series will all be powered by the same processor.
