Bob Lee, founder of Cash App fatally stabbed in San Francisco

In San Francisco, California, Bob Lee, the creator of Cash App and Chief Product Officer of MobileCoin, was fatally stabbed.

The San Francisco Police Department was summoned to the 300 block of Main Street in SoMa at 2:35 a.m. local time on April 3 regarding the stabbing. Lee was taken urgently to the hospital, where he tragically passed away. Lee, who developed Cash App in 2013, was a major figure in the financial and technology industries. Due to its simplicity and usability, the peer-to-peer payment service soon gained popularity, and Lee’s vision helped to revolutionize how people transfer money online. With over 70 million active users, Cash App became one of the world’s most popular payment apps under his direction.

Lee was renowned for his sense of adventure and commitment to innovation.
